MSI GX720
The MSI GX720 ($1,800 street) looks as if it were ready to take the gaming market by storm. Its sexy, brushed-aluminum lid reminds me of a darker version of the Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch (Penryn), and its bright-red interior is worthy of any LAN party. MSI nailed down the design, but to call it a hard-core gaming laptop does a serious injustice to true gaming systems like the Dell XPS M1730 (Penryn) and the Alienware Area-51 m15x. Instead of calling this a gaming laptop, think of it as a glorified media center, with some sweet 3D gaming performance on the side.
