While adhering to the established ergonomic principles, BenQ designs the keyboard for each Joybook model individually. The Joybook T31 cleverly fits a full-size keyboard into its compact housing, and even increases the spacing between keys to 19.05 mm—greater than that on regular desktop keyboards. Then, to accommodate actual user habits, BenQ adjusted the resistance of the keys for greater comfort when entering text. In addition, the distinctive rounded bottom edge of the keys relieves fatigue during long periods of typing by allowing your fingers to move around the keyboard more smoothly.

Under a 50kg stress test, the 14" LCD screen remained crack-free under the magnesium alloy casing. The data in the hard disc continued to run after a 100cm drop test! Pioneering "Front air-intake cooling system"
Modeled on cooling systems used in racr cars, the Joybook S72's ventilation system takes in heat-dissipating air through a front-positioned grille and expels it out the sides. This design offers better cooling than regular notebook computers.
